Definition of Cultural Tension

As people can see, the word cultural tension is made up of two words. The first is Cultural which means exactly the same thing as Culture. Culture is a way of life shared by a of people.

The second word is Tension which means "A feeling that is produced in a situation when people are anxious and do not trust each other, with a possibility of conflict or violence".

Cultural tension is tension amongst cultures, like there was tension between blacks and white in America until the 1970s. There is still cultural tension today, although we might not like to think so. Cultural tension can be violent like this video suggests. Cultural tension doesn't always mean race. It can be religious, and sometimes even related to economics.
